If we’ve heard it once, we’ve heard in thousands of times: visitors to Highland Green love the fact that it is not a “cookie-cutter” development.
They say that compared to the traditional retirement communities that they have seen in Maine and elsewhere, our homes are much more varied in size and design.
They appreciate that unlike condominium developments the homes here are free-standing and custom-built.
They love the fact that the roads and home sites have changing elevations and are laid out to promote community while enhancing privacy.
Most retirement communities and condominiums around the country are uniform in color. Even the colors at Highland Green seem to reflect a unique and interesting Active Adult lifestyle.
While Highland Green homes have common architectural design elements that protect the appearance and value of the community, they have always had diverse colors based on our approved palette.
Highland Green Construction Design Coordinator Sandra Halverson recently worked with the Sherwin Williams Company to adjust the tone of some of our signature color schemes. She also added more accent colors for doors, allowing customers an even wider range of self-expression and individuality, including three shades of purple!
