On the heels of last year’s tremendously successful Highland Green Rocks! geology event, we now introduce a unique opportunity to extensively explore the community through an avian theme. Highland Green is for the Birds! will take place on Friday, May 13 from 11:00 AM to 5:00 PM and beyond.
Highland Green is for the Birds! will allow you to experience the vast 635-acre campus, its unprecedented incorporation of conservation and nature, nature-based educational and volunteer opportunities, and its prime bird watching areas.
During the event you will also get to: hear about the history of Highland Green; meet current Highland Green residents and staff; learn about lower-maintenance living; view existing Highland Green homes and new construction projects; learn about the relationship between Highland Green, the Cathance River Education Alliance, and Brunswick-Topsham Land Trust; see the Ecology Center; hear about Highland Green’s strategic alliance with Maine Audubon and the innovative Bringing Nature Home landscaping program; hear about Avian Haven, learn about bird-watching at Highland Green; enjoy lunch and dinner from the Wild Duck Pub at Highland Green; plus more…
Highland Green is for the Birds is about experiencing the Highland Green lifestyle in a way that is extensive, casual, fun, active, natural, and social. Come join us!
